Job Summary:
Under the leadership of supervisor or manager to ensure the linen carts are stocked as designated and delivered to the patient care unit in a timely manner. Remove soiled linen from linen chutes and transport to holding area. Appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while begin sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrate the ability to stock and deliver to the patient care unit in a timely manner
- Demonstrate the ability to remove soiled linen from linen chutes and transport to holding area.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience:
One year previous work experience. Previous experience in laundry helpful.
Mental Demands:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, accept disrupting work flow, take verbal/written instructions and follow them precisely, demonstrate cooperativeness, good judgment, initiative, ability to relate well to other people, work without close supervision, good positive attitude with other employees.
