Expected pay for this position is $18.00-$25.02. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

Job Summary
- A Nurse Assistant is responsible with assisting in providing care for multiple types of patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Job Specifications
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required to have completed an approved nurse aide training program, passed the IL Certified Nurse Aide Exam, and be listed on the IL Nurse Aide Registry. Required to have a current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date. Required to have a current CPI certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire date.
- JOB KNOWLEDGE: Is knowledgeable regarding policies and procedures, PPE's, universal precautions, duties during a disaster, and product safety information, all on-line/computer based learning. The patient population must be considered when assessing job knowledge required by the employee.
- ABILITIES, INTERESTS AND TEMPERAMENTS:
  - Verbal ability is needed to interpret and understand instructions and to communicate with other caregivers.
  - Numerical ability is needed to correctly tally patient's I & O.
  - Visual acuity is needed to assist and monitor patients.
  - Ability to read and write is needed for documentation on patient records.
  - Ability to adapt and follow directions in a composed manner during emergency situations.
  - Empathy and consideration is needed to deal with patients and their family members.
