ASL Interpreter – Airport Services
About the Role
Join SignaFlow's growing Airport Services team as an on-site ASL Interpreter. You'll be embedded at [Airport Name], providing real-time interpretation for Deaf and hard of hearing travelers navigating check-in, security, boarding, and customer service interactions. You'll work flex shifts covering peak travel times and collaborate directly with airport staff and airlines to ensure seamless communication access.

What You'll Do
- Provide consecutive and simultaneous ASL interpretation for passenger interactions at ticketing counters, gates, and customer service desks
- Interpret phone calls and video remote sessions for accessibility requests
- Brief airport staff and flight crews on Deaf passenger accommodations and communication best practices
- Respond to urgent, same-day interpretation requests during high-traffic periods
- Maintain detailed session notes and work logs in Rippling for scheduling and compliance tracking
Qualifications
- RID certification (National Registry of the Deaf Interpreters) or equivalent credential
- 2+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
- Strong knowledge of air travel, disability law (ADA), and accessibility standards
- Comfortable with unpredictable schedules and shift flexibility (including early mornings and evenings)
- Excellent communication and ability to work independently and with diverse teams
