Job Description
The job of Cloud Engineer will be a core member of a technical team that’s responsible for Operations, design, building and supporting cloud infrastructure platform for Enterprise Cloud Services for SAP workloads
The candidate must be strong in AWS Core services with expertise in system operations of production workloads running in cloud environments (preferably AWS)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Must be hands on AWS services EC2, Backup, Lambda, CloudWatch, Config, CloudTrail, IAM, KMS, CloudFormation etc.
- Understanding of supporting SAP systems support on AWS including cluster management, Database (HANA, Oracle), HA management etc.
- Implement security policies and controls (e.g. CIS, malware, anti-virus, secret management) using aws services
- Must have knowledge to automate aws service deployment using CloudFormation / Terraform
- Strong ability to document standards, methods and produce drawings of systems and applications.
- Strong Scripting skills with any scripting languages (Python (Lambda), Bash Shell)
- Strong skills on AWS Cli and solid understanding on JSON / Yaml
- Deploying and use of configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible etc.)
- Administration of Linux / Windows servers
- Should have experience on Patch Management, Volume Management, Linux firewall, Route tables, Kernel management, Troubleshooting OS issues, etc.,
- Good knowledge on transport layer security (SSL, TLS etc.)
- Good to have knowledge on following skills:
- Good knowledge in web servers (Apache, NGINX, IIS, etc.)
- Basic knowledge in CI/CD – Github/ Gitlab/ Gitcli
- Serving as the elevated L2/L3 escalation contact for critical production issues. Adhering to change management protocols while executing service requests. Actively pursuing avenues to optimize standard operating procedures by leveraging automation techniques.
- Implement automation solutions to streamline platform operations, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate our cloud services for SAP Applications / Web Application, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
- Work closely with a diverse, multinational team to ensure the delivery of world-class cloud services tailored to our global enterprise clientele.
- Participate in designing and implementing strategies to optimize the customer experience and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Proficiency in networking encompassing TCP/IP, IP routing, NAT, and firewalls.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing network services such as DNS, LDAP, and HTTP proxies.
- Strong comprehension of IT security practices, particularly in OS hardening techniques.
- Any RHEL / Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification is must.

SAP project hosted on AWS cloud with multiple instances running on RHEL Linux with High Availability • The job of AWS Engineer will be a core member of a technical team for the project responsible for Operations, Design, Build and supporting cloud infrastructure platform for Enterprise Cloud Services. • Drive technical solutions discussions with your customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical problems and use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. • Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform. Proactively work within the organization to influence the evolution of the platform. • Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team through influencing decision makers across multiple domains to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform which align to long-term business goals.
