Clinical RNPosition Summary:
Functions as a staff nurse under the guidance and supervision of an experience R.N. Performs routine patient care assignments and carries out established nursing procedures utilizing the nursing process.
Qualifications:
A. Education:
Hold a current Texas permit or license as a Registered Nurse (RN). Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred.
B. Training and Experience:
1. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire or transfer to the department
2. Advanced Cardial Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire or transfer to the department.
3. Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within twelve (12) months of hire or transfer to the department (class selection dependent on director assignment)
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
A. Ability to perform:
1. Heavy lifting
2. Sustained standing and walking
3. Work under stress
4. Varied work hours and shifts
A. May encounter exposure to infectious diseases.
