Job Description: Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (F&O) Functional Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in D365 F&O modules, strong business process knowledge, and the ability to lead complex implementations from requirements gathering through post-production support. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to deliver high-quality solutions that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements from stakeholders and leadership teams
- Conduct Fit-Gap analysis and prepare detailed Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
- Configure, test, and support Dynamics 365 F&O Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Finance modules according to business specifications
- Lead workshops, Collaborative Requirements Planning (CRP) sessions, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and user training programs
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, customizations, reporting solutions, and data migration activities
- Support cutover planning, go-live execution, hypercare support, and post-production maintenance
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and industry best practices throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Document functional specifications, process flows, and configuration details for knowledge transfer and future reference

- Month-End and Year-End Closing Processes
- Financial Dimensions and Account Structures
- Intercompany Accounting
- Tax Configuration and Compliance

- Transportation Management (TMS)
- Master Planning and demand forecasting
Mandatory Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of D365 F&O business processes and configurations – demonstrable experience in implementing and supporting Finance and/or SCM modules
- Data Management Framework (DMF) experience – proficiency in data migration, templates, and bulk operations
- Power Platform understanding – working knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and reporting solutions
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience – ability to work in iterative development environments and participate in sprint planning
- Independent stakeholder engagement – ability to manage relationships with business stakeholders and leadership teams autonomously
- Documentation skills – ability to create clear, comprehensive functional specifications and process documentation
- Communication and presentation skills – capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and/or Supply Chain Management certifications (MB-300, MB-310, MB-320, or equivalent)
- Experience in global implementations and multi-company/multi-entity environments
- Exposure to Power BI for reporting and analytics
- Experience with Power Automate for process automation
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project tracking and collaboration
- Experience in presales activities, solution estimations, and RFP (Request for Proposal) responses
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or retail industries

Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Experience Level
Minimum 5+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and/or Supply Chain Management implementations, with at least 3+ years in a functional consultant or business analyst role.
Work Environment
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to support project timelines, which may include extended hours during critical phases (go-live, UAT)
- Travel may be required for client visits, workshops, and go-live support
