Position Title:Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Certified
Program/Department:Community Crisis Home (CCH)
Reports To:Program Administrator (Primary); Assistant Administrator (Secondary)
Classification:Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for Overtime)
Position Summary
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct care, supervision, and behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilitiesresidingin a Community Crisis Home (CCH). The RBT implements individualized behavior support plans and collects behavioral data under the supervision of qualified clinical professionals. Services are delivered in a respectful, person-centered manner and mustcomply withapplicable regulatory requirements including Title 17 California Code of Regulations and Title 22 California Code of Regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
•Mustpass DOJ/FBI background clearance and Community Care Licensing criminal record clearance
• Valid California driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Minimum six (6) months experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilitiesandbehavioral challenges
• Current Registered Behavior Technician certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and maintained in good standing
• Minimum three (3) months experience implementing behavior intervention strategiesunder their RBT certification
•Must completeDSP-1 and DSP-2 training withinone year of hire
•Must complete crisis intervention training (such as CPI,Ukeru, or other approved methods)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Mandated Reporter Requirement
Employeesare required tocomply withmandated reporter laws and must report suspected abuse or neglect of residentsin accordance withapplicable law and organizational policies.
Regulatory Compliance
Employees mustcomply withall applicable regulations including Title 17 California Code of Regulations, Title 22 California Code of Regulations, Department of Developmental Services requirements, Regional Center standards, and Community Care Licensing regulations.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This positionoperatesin a residential environment supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges and their staff who support them. Employees may be exposed to stressful situations. This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, andassistingclients with mobility. Staff maybe requiredto lift or support up to 50 pounds andassistwith physical transfers. Employees must be able to respond quickly to behavioral or medical emergencies and may work in environments withvariable noise levels, movement throughout the residence, and must actively engage with clients. Work may involveboth indoor residential activities and outdoor activities / community outings with clients. Various shifts arerequired, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays tomaintaincoverage. Continuous supervisionisrequiredfor theindividualswhich means you may not be relieved of duty during shifts. On-duty meal periods may be necessary during certain shifts, and employees will be paid for all suchtime.

On-Duty Meal Period Clarification
On-duty meal periods are providedin accordance witha voluntary written agreement, which may be revoked by the employee at any time. The need for on-duty meal periods isdeterminedon a shift-by-shift basis depending on client care needs. On-duty meal periods may be necessary during certain shifts due to continuous client care needs. The ability to work shifts requiring continuous supervision without relief from duty is an essential function of this position.
