Position Summary:
The LPN or RN is a professional care provider who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, providing care through the continued utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with other health care team members. The LPN or RN will be accountable for meeting the standards required by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Granville Health System (GHS), and other regulating agencies. The LPN or RN will oversee all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment on the unit. The LPN or RN will process information on the GHS’s Health Information System as required when performing job responsibilities.
Qualifications for LPN:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed in the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing appropriate to the practice setting
- Participates in educational conferences, completes in-service training, and maintains professional knowledge and skills related to the areas of practice
- BLS certification
Qualifications for RN:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed in the State of North Carolina as a Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing appropriate to the practice setting
- Participates in educational conferences, completes in-service training, and maintains professional knowledge and skills related to the areas of practice
- Minimum of one year experience as an RN
- BLS certification
