Under the direction of the RN, the nurse technician performs delegated duties and responsibilities in assisting in the care of the patient. The nurse technician is responsible for designated equipment and supplies used in the care of their assigned patients. The nurse technician must accept personal responsibility for his/her performance, communication, and relationships with others. He/she must be flexible in changing assignments and workload. The nursing technician must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned unit.
Education:
- High School or equivalent
- Certificate program
License:
- CNA, CMA, EMT, and/or Healthcare Patient Care, Medical Assisting Program
- BLS
Experience:
Minimum
- CNA, CMA, EMT certification training
