The Parts Counter Associate plays a vital role in supporting the service and sales departments by efficiently managing parts inventory, assisting customers and technicians with parts requests, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of orders. Requirements:
Parts Counter Associate Responsibilities
- Assist customers and technicians in identifying and locating the correct parts.
- Process parts orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain organized inventory and ensure stock levels are adequate.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts shipments.
- Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs.
- Provide pricing and availability information to customers and staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department.
- Uphold CMA’s standards for professionalism, accuracy, and customer service.
Parts Counter Associate Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in automotive parts preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and parts.
- Ability to use parts catalog systems and dealership management software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
