Work and live where others vacation! Here at Lake Regional, you will work in a busy, progressive state-of-the-art hospital utilizing new technologies and procedures every day! Lake Regional is looking for an outgoing, compassionate, professional Registered Nurse in the Cancer Center.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- The position is for a systemic infusion nurse.
- The ideal candidate will have an interest in the administration of chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immune therapies for hematology and oncology patients.
- Duties and responsibilities include patient assessment, symptoms management, infusion skills for varied types of infusions, patient care coordination with the hematology/oncology clinic as well as other mechanisms of care as necessary to meet patient needs. Cross-training to other areas of the Cancer Center can be expected.
- Representation at various events in the community may be necessary to represent our program and our services.
- Candidates must be willing to pursue OCN certification within two years of hire.
Qualifications:
- RN with a minimum of 3 years Medical-Surgical experience.
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Must excel in the area of customer service.
- The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, friendly, positive, flexible, organized, and able to prioritize and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal stress and be teamwork-oriented.
- Annual influenza vaccine required.
