Prepares, seasons and cooks food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of /Skill/Ability to: Training in institutional food preparation preferred
License/Certification
Current Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within thirty (30) days.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum Experience: On-the-job-training
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.), frequent prolonged standing/walking. Subject to burns and cuts; exposed to hot and humid work environment; exposed to hazards of steam and heat; exposed to heat, wetness, and odors in kitchen and/or painted areas; exposed to varying degrees of kitchen elements. Position involves standing, walking, stooping. May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
Compensation details: 23.69-35.45 Hourly Wage
