Medical Staff Peer Review CoordinatorPosition Summary:
The Medical Staff Peer Review Coordinator collects, monitors, and reports the data used for physician and mid-level provider provisional status, reappointment, medical staff departmental review, focused reviews, and scheduled hospital-wide monitoring.
Qualifications:
A. Education:
Holds a current Texas license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN), Respiratory Therapist or Radiology Technician.
B. Training and Experience:
- At least three (3) years in clinical nursing.
- Related performance improvement experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
C. Job Knowledge:
- Familiar with hospital organization and policies and procedures.
- Broad clinical nursing background.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
A. Ability to perform:
1.The office is crowded, well-lit and has the potential for frequent interruptions.
2.Sitting for long periods of time is required.
3.Potential for stress in meeting deadlines.
4.Work schedule flexibility.
5. Lift up to 25 pounds
B. May encounter exposure to infectious diseases.
