Brambleton Community Association (BCA) is a developing, large-scale planned community located in Northern Virginia with over 6,500 settled units. The community will grow over the next several years to over 7,600 units to become Loudoun County's largest homeowners’ association. About the role
The Community Standards Advisor-Inspections (CSA-I) collaborates with residents, staff, and the Covenants Committee on the importance, education, and enforcement of community covenants and standards. This position is primarily responsible for the uniform and fair inspection, escalation, and enforcement of community covenants and standards in alignment with the Declaration, standards, and established procedures; additionally, inspects, performs, and reports on resale inspections as required by State Statute and Association procedures.
Additionally, the CSA-I assists and supports the Community Standards Advisor-Design Review (CSA-DR) team with all aspects of the design review and application process and other matters in times of high volume or as needed. The CSA-I will also contribute to cross-departmental projects and initiatives that reflect the Association’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
What you'll do
- Professionally assists, advises, supports, and educates homeowners on the importance of maintaining community standards, rules, and regulations. Guides residents through the covenants enforcement process, explaining requirements, timelines, and expectations to foster understanding and compliance with aesthetic guidelines.
- Performs varioustypes of lot inspections using established standards andmethods, sends related correspondence, and prepares associated reports.
- Promptly and professionally responds to resident concerns, reports, and requests for enforcement of covenants and standards on properties of concern. Ensures that all communication is detailed, constructive, and aligned with the Association’s standards and policies.
- Sets schedules for recurring community inspection campaigns. Schedules and campaigns shall allow time for resident communication, inspections, follow up, and escalation.
- Monitors resale inspection software, performs inspections, generates related reporting, manages correspondence, and coordinates follow-up actions as needed.
- Identifies and promptly reports problematic, unusual, or complex matters to the Manager and/or Lead/Administrator for further guidance. Provides background and recommendations to aid in resolution, ensuring that unique or challenging situations are handled effectively.
- Regularly supports and communicates with the CSA-DR team, assisting with secondary functions related to the design review application process. Collaborates to ensure a cohesive approach to maintaining neighborhood standards and addressing noncompliance issues.
- Attends and participates in Committee and Board meetings as requested by Manager.
- Organizes and maintains accurate, detailed records of inspections, items of noncompliance, and communications. Ensures that records are comprehensive and up-to-date, supporting transparency and ease of access for reporting and compliance tracking.
- Assists the CSA-DR team with the application process during periods of high demand or as needed.
- Promptly and professionally advises residents on the design review application and approval process during periods of high volume or as needed.
- Drafts application decision letters as requested.
- Assists and supports Manager with department initiatives and projects.
- Supports Resident Services and front desk operations as requested.
- Assists and supports the Lifestyles department with event staffing when requested.
- Performs related work and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional, friendly, service-oriented demeanor with a collaborative approach to working with residents and staff.
- Working knowledge and experience in customer service and/or property management, community association management, or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and other standard office applications.
- Awareness, knowledge, and understanding of community association documents and standards, or the ability to quickly learn and become proficient in this area.
- Building, construction, and grounds maintenance experience helpful.
- Ability to learn and become proficient in software programs specific to the position.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Knowledge and understanding of standard office and administrative practices and procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have use of personal transportation.
Abilities:
- Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
- Ability to travel throughout the community and walk on varied terrain during site visits and inspections.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, vendors, and Board members.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment:
- Combination of office, driving, and outdoor work environments.
- Regular travel throughout the community to conduct inspections, patrols, site visits, and resident interactions.
- Frequent use of a vehicle, computer equipment, and devices to perform daily job duties.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions while performing outdoor responsibilities.
- Regular daytime schedule with occasional evening and weekend work to support inspections, events, meetings, and other operational needs.
The pay range for this role is:25 - 27 USD per hour(BCA Management Office)
