Lab TranscriptionistThe Transcriptionist I / Laboratory Clerk is directly responsible and accountable to the Laboratory Manager and Pathologists for producing work that is neat and accurate and meets the standards set forth for the manager and pathologists. The Transcriptionist I / Laboratory Clerk is responsible for adhering to the format established for specific types of dictation and reporting poor quality dictation or problems with the equipment as soon as possible. He or she is also responsible for registering and processing cytological specimens for interpretation by the pathologists and/or cytotechnologists.
