The Patient Access Supervisor will supervise all patient access staff under the Specialty Physician Revenue Cycle department. They will be responsible for monitoring work flows to ensure productivity and quality goals are met. Collaborate with other departments to solve cross departmental issues. Provide guidance, as well as research departmental issues and serve as a link to upper management. Must have and maintain (or obtain within first 90 days) HFMA credentials (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative), mentor new staff and support co-worker development. Work closely with the Patient Access Manager and assist with new hire processes, give data driven input for performance evaluations, and assist with the implementation of performance improvement plans for co-workers as needed. Must be willing to travel to satellite offices to monitor staff and train when needed. Responsible for making sure all new hires are sufficiently trained and competent. Must be able to apply policies and procedures to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations and personalities.

3-5 Years Revenue Cycle Experience - Required

2 years experience in a Supervisor or Management role - Preferred

Proficient in use of spreadsheets and skilled in gathering, analyzing and evaluating data to uncover aberrant patterns.

Must have knowledge of Revenue Cycle processes, specifically the work flow from front desk to billing.

Written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, and proven ability to reach across departments to problem solve.

- Offer guidance to staff related to Point-of-Service collective activity, Financial Navigation, Insurance Verification, and Patient Financial Assistance.
- Inform the Manager of Patient Access of any unusual and/or significant issues that may affect workflow, patient satisfaction, timeliness of services, or reimbursement.
- Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and mentoring work processes.
- Facilitates staff development by coordinating with the education department in-service needs. Assists the Manager in the completion of evaluations, discipline and certification encouragement.
- Participates in the training and orientation process for new staff as appropriate. Demonstrates initiative and flexibility. Participates in process improvement initiatives.
