Training Specialist- Providers/Referral ManagerPosition Summary:
Training specialist will deliver training to aid in the development of providers including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Coordinate, schedule and conduct policy, procedures and technical training for new hires and current employees. Delivery methods will include instructor-led and e-learning methodologies. This position will be primarily responsible for building out an AHL Network Referral Program under the supervision of the AVP of Payor Relations & Network Performance as a Referral Manager. Specifically, the referral manager will examine current referral data systems and processes and collaborate with internal medical and pharmaceutical staff in order to determine priority network needs. The referral manager shall also work with external specialty partners and systems to develop required referral criteria for common, high volume referrals and foster formal referral arrangements, such as Memorandums of Agreement, in order to maintain timely access to specialty care, reduce denial rates, and ensure receipt of specialist reports back into the Electronic Health Record. The Referral Manager provides oversight of all Patient Care Coordinators focusing on the patient referral process, customer service, and marketing strategies focused on internal and external patient referrals. This includes a variety of responsibilities, including, but not limited to, training and oversight of Patient Medication Assistance, Referral Care Coordination, Maternal Care Coordination and general Case Management responsibilities. Administrative responsibilities will include conducting meetings, conducting routine visits to facilities, performing reviews of coordinators, and collaborating with office managers and other staff to ensure all referral practices are being followed. Travel up to 25% to local sites or meetings with partners
Minimum Qualifications
Education
× High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or higher in education, training and development, instructional design or other related field preferred.
× LPN or RN preferred
Experience
× Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: Nursing, Medical or Dental Assisting with a strong EMR background.
× Prior training experience in a healthcare environment required.
× Current CPR certification.
Knowledge
× Principles and procedures for delivering effective adult training.
× Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience working with online learning applications.
× Media creation, communication, and distribution techniques and methods.
