Medical Assistant/Clinical Office Coordinator EPA
Position Summary
Reporting to the Practice Manager and working under the direct supervision of the Physician(s), the Medical Assistant/Clinical Office Coordinator plays an important role in supporting patient care and daily office operations. This position is responsible for ensuring patients are properly prepared for their visits while providing clinical and administrative support to the physician(s).
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course preferred.
Experience
- Two to four years of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical/physician's office preferred.
- One to three years of Administrative Assistant/Medical Office experience preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
- State Certification preferred but not required.
Skills
- Computer proficiency, including experience with GE Centricity electronic medical record (EMR); Meditech experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and on the phone.
- Excellent customer service skills.
