Ashcroft Terminal is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to join our growing team!
As the only private logistics terminal in Canada with CPKC & CN mainlines onsite, ATL is strategically located to help shippers, manufacturers, and producers prepare their commodities for export or import. In the position of Warehouse Coordinator,the successful candidate will support the smooth operation of transloading and container handling activities in the warehouse. This individual is responsible for coordinating the storage and organization of inbound and outbound containers in the yard, supporting the handling of goods stored in the warehouse, and facilitating the movement of goods transferred between different modes of transportation.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating the layout and organization of containers in the yard to optimize space utilization and accessibility.Coordinate the movement of import and export containers to the warehouse, in preparation for transload.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of container movements and other relevant information using current yard management software and spreadsheets.Coordinating the transfer of goods from one mode of transportation to another, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient handling.Communicating with customers and Lead Hands to schedule and track transload operations.Ensure that all inbound containers are scheduled so that there is no downtime in Warehouse operations.Maintaining accurate records of transloaded goods, tracking quantities, locations, and status.Maintaining the customer’s Warehouse management software regarding quantity transloaded and product damage.Read and sign off on all related company SOPs.
Basic Administration
Maintain office spreadsheets with up-to-date information for transloads.Plan, facilitate, and schedule the release of containers, as per the customer’s requirements.Coordinate the movement of import containers to the export warehouse.Provide daily reports to the customer regarding the day’s transloads.Provide weekly and monthly updates to the finance team.Continuously assess and support improvements to processes related to product movement, warehouse operations and documentation for efficiency and accuracy.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Education requirements:
Completion of Grade 12.Post-Secondary courses in Business Administration would be considered an asset.Valid First Aid Certification would be considered an asset.
Experience requirements:
Must be proficient in Dropbox and all MS-Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PPT).Previous office experience is considered an asset.
