Job Title: Sweet Baker / Pastry Cook
Location: Holden Beach, NC
Pay Rate: $12.00 per Hour
Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and creative Sweet Baker/Pastry Cook to join our coffee shop team in Holden Beach, NC. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and preparing fresh, high-quality sweet treats, including cookies, muffins, pastries, cakes, scones, and other baked goods. This position plays an important role in ensuring customers enjoy delicious, freshly made products each day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of sweet baked goods including cookies, muffins, pastries, scones, and specialty desserts.
Follow recipes and baking procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
Measure and mix ingredients accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and baking area.
Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Properly store ingredients and finished products according to food safety standards.
Assist with daily food preparation and display setup.
Ensure all products are fresh, visually appealing, and ready for customer purchase.
Follow all health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
Work efficiently to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
Previous baking or food service experience preferred but not required.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to lift and carry baking supplies and ingredients.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
