CNC Machinist

About the Role
We're looking for skilled and motivated CNC Machinists to join the growing manufacturing team at Microflex Technologies, Inc., a member of the Columbia Holdings, Inc. family of companies.
As customer demand continues to grow, Microflex is expanding its manufacturing capabilities and investing in new equipment and operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a precision manufacturing environment producing high-quality components for critical applications while contributing to the continued growth of our organization.
The CNC Machinist plays a key role in setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC equipment to produce precision parts that meet exact customer and quality specifications.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC Swiss Screw machines to manufacture precision components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets necessary to complete assigned work.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary offset adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other quality instruments.
- Conduct routine quality checks to verify compliance with specifications.
- Document tool changes, maintain accurate production records, and complete in-process inspections.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow machinists, engineering, quality, and leadership to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform shop calculations and dimensional conversions.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as operational needs require.
Preferred Experience
- Experience machining stainless steel and specialty engineered materials.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and requires regular interaction with production equipment, tooling, and precision measuring instruments. Employees may be required to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
