Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Cardiology Services, the Cardiac Rehabilitation Manager is responsible for the program structure and monitoring of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase 1 & 2 Services within Powers Health. The Manager works collaboratively with the management team of the Cardiology Services to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the processes within the Cardiac Rehabilitation department. Communicates with and functions as liaison between staff, physicians, nursing, and all ancillary departments for the coordination of services. The manager maintains 24-hour accountability. In addition, the Manager assists with Chest Pain responsibilities for St. Catherine Hospital, collaborating with the CVSL Quality Manager for CH/SCH hospitals by maintaining advanced Cardiac Certifications.
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively manages budget, staffing, and demonstrates creativity in delivery and enhancement of services.
- Responsible for the leadership development process and mentoring of staff within department(s).
- Effectively manages the Cardiac Rehab program structure in collaboration with Vice President and Directors including but not limited to the project management, protocols, standardization of processes and demonstrates
- Effectively hires, trains, counsels/disciplines, and evaluates staff in a timely professional manner.
- Provide financial analysis on an on-going basis, identify trends, and utilize data to improve business operations.
- Maintains standardization in the management of the Charge Description Master files.
- Negotiates contracts with external vendors for products and monitors quality and/or performance.
- Assist in monitoring and managing physician HIM documentation compliance within department.
- Responsible for fostering and maintaining a positive working relationship with Medical Staff within department(s) as well as Powers Health.
- Direct and monitor clinical activities including but not limited to Pre-Admitting/Registration, Health Information Management, and Quality Assurance
- Collaborates with Chest Pain team to develop and implement protocols to ensure optimal patient care.
- Leads Chest Pain Committee/Subcommittee meetings/notes (CH/SC hospitals).
Education/Experience
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana.
• BSN required. • Master’s Degree preferred.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in multiphase Cardiac Care Program.
• 2 - 5 years’ experience in Charge, Supervisory or Management role preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification
