Position Summary
At Advance Air Systems, the HVAC Sales Estimator plays a key role in driving growth by turning opportunities into winning projects. This role goes beyond estimating — it’s about partnering with customers, understanding their challenges, and delivering smart, cost‑effective HVAC solutions that make a real impact.
You’ll combine technical estimating expertise with a consultative sales approach, working closely with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop accurate, competitive proposals. Your work directly influences revenue, customer satisfaction, and long‑term relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, professional HVAC estimates and bid proposals with strong attention to detail
- Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop cost‑effective HVAC solutions
- Work directly with customers to understand project needs and provide consultative recommendations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and HVAC subcontractors
- Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions as needed
- Conduct site walks and participate in sales presentations when required
- Maintain estimating logs, pricing data, and unit costs for all projects
- Collaborate with internal teams to align estimates with production and installation requirements
- Present weekly internal sales and estimating activity reports
- Achieve quarterly goals for bids submitted and projects awarded
- Actively participate in networking and business development activities
- Support and mentor newer estimators and sales team members
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required
Education
- Associate degree (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC Sales and Estimating
- 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC (Preferred)
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
- Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
- Successful Pre-Employment Drug
