SchedulerPosition Summary:
Works independently under regular supervision and follows structured work routines. Works in a fast paced, multi task environment with high volume and immediacy needs requiring independent decision making and sound judgment to prioritize work and ensure appropriateness and timeliness of each patients care. This position requires the ability to retain large amounts of changing payer information/knowledge crucial to attaining reimbursement for the services provided, as well as proficiency in scheduling guidelines for multiple outpatient departments. Primary external customers include patients and their families, hospital departments, physician office staff and third party payers.
Qualifications:
A. Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
B. Training and Experience:

Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective
human relations and communication skills.

Be proficient with commonly used office software and computers.
Must be able to maintain accurate statistical records, gather data and produce reports.

Two years of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or
physician office scheduling setting and completion of Medical Terminology course(s) preferred.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
A. Ability to perform:

May require to lift up to 20 pounds.

Adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects.
B. May require travel from location to location within the Health System
