Job Details
The Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in product quality, reducing the cost of poor quality, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Improve, monitor, and maintain customer quality performance ratings.Collect, analyze, and interpret performance and defect data to drive continuous improvements.Serve as the primary customer interface for quality-related inquiries, issues, and escalations.Lead structured root cause analysis and problem resolution with all cross functions.Conduct process, product, and system audits.Evaluate and disposition nonconforming product, RMAs & verify closure and effectiveness of corrective actions.Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections.Prepare and report daily, weekly, and monthly quality metrics.Track corrective actions and improvement initiatives through full implementation and control phases.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.5+ years of professional quality experienceExperience with MS Office, specifically Excel and Minitab.
Preferred QualificationsAerospace or aircraft parts manufacturingOptics manufacturing backgroundLean and Continuous Improvement skills / 6 Sigma background
For California, the salary range for this position is: $80,630 - $137,808 per year
