Responsible for scrubbing and circulating procedures in the OBL/ASC. A well-matched candidate will be responsible for helping order supplies, updating cost analysis sheets, ensures daily quality controls and test for all equipment; assisting with all patient care, scheduling coordination and inventory management with PAR and pricing. Multi-tasking and time management skill are essential along with flexibility and adaptability to ensure our patients are taken care of efficiently and safely.
This position requires the individual to be flexible with his/her work schedule. The ability to self-direct and to organize a varied workload is required in this position. The individual is required to stay up to date on all ARRT requirements including BLS/ACLS.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experienced in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab and is able to scrub cases as well as circulate and run a C-Arm or fixed fluoroscopy unit. Is knowledgeable in supplies and pays attention to cost.
- Is proactive and looks ahead at schedule to ensure all supplies are available for cases.
- Helps maintain and control the supply and equipment inventory par levels.
- Treats patients with respect and sensitivity and exhibits behavior which projects a caring and compassionate attitude.
- Reviews, reconciles and validates accurate patient procedure and supply charges and ensures correct documentation is entered in quality tracking, cost analysis and expense spreadsheet.
- Serves as a clinical and technical expert resource to all staff and physicians as seems appropriate.
- Shares responsibility for ensuring a safe working environment for patients, staff and providers.
- Interacts and communicates with all staff internal and external in a professional manner while maintaining a positive working relationship with other team members.
- Practices Radiation Safety in accordance with regulations. Practices ALARA at all times to keep patients and staff safe.
- Demonstrates trouble-shooting skills and gives expert knowledge of supplies and equipment used during endovascular cases.
- Able to identify adverse events or unanticipated outcomes using critical thinking skills and notifies the medical staff including nurses and physicians in a timely fashion.
- Assures all informed consent has been obtained on the patient prior to the start of procedures and all questions and concerns have been answered.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Keeps current regarding developments in the surgical equipment, trends, and techniques through attendance at in-services or other educational programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in Radiology required
- Current ARRT certification up to date
- 1-2 years ASC or hospital Experience REQUIRED
- Successful completion of ACLS/BLS certification

EDUCATION:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Associate’s degree (Required)
Work Environment
This position is clinical and will report to the office. Monday- Friday hours are determined by business need.
