Provide general HR support as a HR professional with HR experience of up to 7 years. Actions directly impact employee relations, performance management, training, policy implementation, compensation and benefits. This role collaborates closely with leaders in HR and business operations to help develop, then execute, defined strategies. Key focus is for engagement, talent management, employee relations, and supporting leaders at all levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partner
Partner with HR and business leadership within assigned client groups. Provide guidance on HR policies, employment law compliance, and employee relations issues. Respond to employee and leadership inquiries; ensure resolution for matters related to policies, benefits, compensation, and employee engagement. Engages subject matter experts for resolution of complex or escalated matters.
Onboarding, Recruiting Support and HRIS Maintenance
Supports, and may assist with, onboarding and orientation for new hires. Partners with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to support recruiting strategy and process execution. Assists with offer letters and pre-employment actions.
General HR Team Support
Delivers general HR support and responds to dynamic business needs as they arise. Participates in and may lead HR initiatives for improving processes, policies, and the employee experience. Implements and assists with analytics and HR metrics. Actively supports inclusive cultural efforts throughout the organization.
Administrative HR Tasks
Manages and/or may own core administrative HR functions including leave of absence administration, unemployment claims, employment verifications, and compliance-related documentation. Assists to ensure accurate and confidential employee records, and ensures data integrity within technology systems. Provides leaders with workforce reports and analytics as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 5 or more years of experience in HR Generalist role highly desired. Specialist role experience acceptable with Recruiting or Employee Relations.
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms.
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification highly preferred.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experiential knowledge of HR functions, employment law and compensation practices.
- Demonstrated work with HR metrics and data analysis.
- Demonstrated skills with relationships across all levels of the organization, with proven abilities using discrete and confidential data.
- Professionalism to represent company policies while supporting employee needs.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate level skills; experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems expected.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including active listening.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with problem-solving capabilities.
