The DOT Compliance Manager will collaborate with both new and existing CDL and non-CDL employees, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal DOT regulations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements, combined with a proactive mindset to innovate, streamline, and simplify compliance processes. This role reports directly to the Director of Safety & Compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and maintain Driver Qualification Files for CDL and non-CDL drivers, ensuring all required documents and endorsements are accurate, valid, and up to date.
- Manage compliance activities, including annual Clearinghouse queries, random drug screenings, DOT verifications, and MVR monitoring.
- Monitor and review drivers’ Hours of Service (HOS) to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Provide guidance and coaching to drivers on safe driving practices and compliance with procedures.
- Coordinate closely with operations to ensure alignment of routine activities
- Partner closely with the Truck Shop or Truck Lease Vendor(s) to address OOS/Unsafe deficiencies
- Conduct regular audits to verify all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
- Manage IFTA & IRP submission requirements
- Assist with integration efforts during acquisitions to maintain compliance standards.
- Stay current on changes in DOT regulations and implement necessary updates to maintain compliance.
- Review DOT documentation for accuracy and validity during the onboarding process and assist with pre-employment screenings as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support the Safety & Compliance team.
Compensation details: 68000-72000 Yearly Salary
