Profile Summary:
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Analyst to join our growing Tax Team at WELL Health. In this role, you will support tax compliance, financial reporting and planning across multiple jurisdictions including Canada and the US. You will play a key role in ensuring the company meets it tax obligations while supporting the strategic initiatives of a purpose-driven company aiming to positively impact health outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional looking to deepen their expertise in corporate tax in a high-growth environment.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Vancouver office.
What you will be doing:
- Support tax compliance, accounting and reporting activities across WELL group entitiesPrepare Canadian corporate income tax returns and related filings accurately and on time Assist with US and other foreign tax filings, in coordination with external advisorsPrepare quarterly tax provisions and financial statement disclosures in accordance with IFRSContribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of tax planning strategies Conduct tax technical research and prepare supporting memos, analyses and correspondenceSupport tax audits and inquiries as well as other CRA administration (e.g. authorizations) Prepare and maintain income tax cash flow forecasts and monitor installment requirements Identify opportunities to improve processes and support enhancement of internal controls and policiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure compliance
You Have:
- 2+ years of experience in Canadian tax compliance and planning (US experience an asset)Professional accounting certification such as CPA designation is requiredCurrently enrolled or willing to enroll in the In-Depth tax course Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax software including TaxPrepInterest in leveraging technology and AI to improve workflows Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesCollaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills SRED, indirect tax and cross-border tax experience is an asset
