The Opportunity
If you're the type of accountant who enjoys finding what others miss, thrives on clean reconciliations, and takes pride in bulletproof audit trails - this is your lane.
The Transition House, Inc. is bringing in a specialized Trust Accountant to take ownership of fiduciary account reconciliations tied to Department of Corrections (DOC) compliance. This is high-stakes, detail-driven work where accuracy isn't optional - it's mission-critical.
You won't be micromanaged. You will be trusted to deliver.
What You'll Own

- Work within SecurManage to align trust activity with trial balances
- Investigate discrepancies like a pro - document findings, recommend fixes, close the loop
- Analyze trust transactions (draws, obligations, resident accounts, etc.) with a compliance lens
- Build audit-ready workpapers that stand up to regulatory scrutiny
- Handle unclaimed funds reconciliation and state reporting requirements
- Communicate risks, gaps, and progress clearly - no surprises
What Success Looks Like
- Reconciliations completed on time, every cycle
- Documentation that an auditor can pick up and trust immediately
- Discrepancies identified early - and resolved or escalated with clarity
