PRACTITIONER, ACUTE CARE NURSE CARDIAC SURGERYTEMPORARY 6 MONTHS OR AS NEEDED
Position Summary: The Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with the medical and hospital staff to ensure that continuity and multidisciplinary care is provided for patients. He/she will utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess patients and manage all aspects of care, including invasive, diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. The NP will communicate clinical issues to the physician, write orders according to standardized procedures/protocols, coordinate and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as facilitate arrangements for discharge. In addition, the NP will support/educate clinical nursing staff regarding goals and treatment strategies in the promotion of quality nursing care and practice. May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Current and valid nursing licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Current California FurnishingLicense or within 6 months of hire. Master Degree in Nursing. National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner required within 6 months of hire. For Perioperative Services, Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certificate is also required. Minimum of 5 years of experience post-initial nursing degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Acute care Nurse Practitioner experience. Prior experience developing and coordinating an evidencebased clinical program.
Salary Range: $68.24 - $96.02 Salary will be commensurate with experience.
