About the role:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily sorting and dispatch operations. This role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, and full compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, logistical expertise, and the ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced workflows effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Lead and supervise all sorting operations to ensure timely and accurate package processing.
- Optimize workflows, sorting schedules, and task prioritization based on operational demands.
- Ensure compliance with SpeedX sorting protocols and quality standards.
- Oversee maintenance and functionality of sorting equipment, including scanners and printers, minimizing downtime.
- Manage mid-mile dispatch operations and coordinate with morning dispatch teams to ensure seamless delivery transitions.
Staff Supervision
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop warehouse staff to maintain high performance levels.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address employee concerns.
- Create and manage staffing schedules aligned with fluctuating workload demands.
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of warehouse package inventory.
- Oversee procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure stable and reliable internet connectivity for sorting systems and data transmission.
Data Reporting
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including throughput, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, with actionable recommendations for improvement.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse or sorting operations.
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and sorting technologies.
- Technical ability to operate and troubleshoot scanning equipment and related systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting.
- Availability for late-night shifts (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM), including weekends and holidays.
- This is an onsite role requiring full-time presence at the warehouse.
