Employee Health RN
Manages the Employee Health and Wellness Program to ensure a safe and healthy workforce. Oversees employee health screenings, immunizations, exposure management, and wellness initiatives in compliance with OSHA, CDC, and organizational policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administers and manages the Employee Health and Wellness Program for hospital and clinic staff.
- Coordinates pre-employment, annual, and regulatory-required health screenings (e.g., TB testing, respirator fit testing, immunization status).
- Manages the Respiratory Protection Program, including N95 fit testing, medical clearance coordination, and annual compliance tracking.
- Maintains employee health records and ensures compliance with OSHA, CDC, and state regulations.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA standards, including Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, Respiratory Protection Program, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Maintains required documentation for workplace exposures and employee health surveillance per regulatory standards.
- Leads post-exposure evaluation and follow-up for occupational exposures including bloodborne pathogens, airborne diseases, and other communicable illnesses.
- Oversees immunization programs (e.g., influenza, hepatitis B) and promotes vaccination compliance.
- Maintains employee immunization compliance including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, influenza, respiratory illness (as applicable), and TB surveillance requirements.
- Oversees tuberculosis screening program including baseline testing, annual risk assessments, and exposure follow-up in accordance with CDC guidelines.
- Provides consultation and guidance and determines work restrictions and return-to-work status in collaboration with HR and clinical leadership based on occupational health guidelines.
- Collaborates with leadership and HR on employee safety initiatives and workers’ health concerns.
- Leads and promotes employee wellness initiatives and education programs.
- Monitors trends in employee illness/injury and recommends prevention strategies.
- Collaborates with Human Resources and Workers’ Compensation vendors regarding occupational injuries and illness reporting, follow-up, and return-to-work coordination.
- Utilizes employee health software systems (e.g., Immuware) for tracking and reporting.
- Maintains employee health records in compliance with confidentiality standards and regulatory retention requirements.
- Ensures readiness for audits related to OSHA, CMS, and accreditation bodies.
- Supports a safe work environment by promoting prevention of physical and psychological harm.
- Participates in Safety, Infection Prevention, and Quality Committees as assigned.
- Supports infection prevention activities as needed
- Serves as a backup resource for Infection Prevention functions during staff absences, vacancies, outbreaks, or operational needs and may assist with surveillance, employee exposures, education, and response activities to ensure continuity of operations.

Job Requirements
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in Indiana, Current BLS
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years clinical nursing experience
- Experience in occupational health or employee health preferred
- Effective communication and employee engagement skills
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
