JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the oversight of outreach, marketing and programming for all SER youth programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement outreach strategies to recruit eligible participantsEstablish working relationships with community partners, school personnel and other youth serving organizations.Track and report outreach and recruitment efforts towards recruitment goalsResponsible for the coordination and facilitation of youth on-site and community based programming.Assist in conducting initial intake and data collection of potential youthAssists in ensuring the program goals and objectives are met as specified by funding sources and the Corporation. Reports to supervisor on program progress and matters of concern.Provide supervision and guidance to the Recruitment, Marketing and Program Team members.Provides logistical support to the Youth Center TeamCompiles program statistics and prepares related performance and progress reports for management.Provides positive leadership and direction for youth program participants.Contributes to the team effort by performing other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three (3) years’ experience in youth workforce development initiatives or six (6) years’ equivalent combination of related experience and/or education ).Experience working with at-risk youth and youth agencies.Two to four years of management experience in human services or related field preferred.Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish or English/Arabic preferred.Computer skills necessary to effectively maintain a database and generate reports.Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with staff, participants and partner agencies.Mental ability to handle pressures related to multiple individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of need.Valid Michigan driver’s license. Incumbent must also have reliable means of transportation to travel to various locations outside of the office.Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (evenings/weekends).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is partially active role and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and frequently use hands and to talk or hear. Some sedentary work and filing may be required. This would require the ability to sit for extended period of time, lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a normal office environment with little discomfort due to noise, dirt, dust and the like. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photo copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
