Operations Supervisor (Metro Vancouver)
Festilight is hiring a hands-on supervisor to support our installation crews and keep our warehouse running smoothly and safely. You will spend time both in the field and in the warehouse, helping the team execute consistently, coaching to our standards, and stepping in to solve day-to-day operational problems.
What you will do
- Lead and support field crews day to day through clear direction, practical coaching, and respectful accountability.
- Enforce safety and quality standards, including PPE compliance and safe work practices. Stop work when safety or quality is at risk.
- Run weekly safety meetings and reinforce checklist discipline.
- Complete site checks each week and document findings using the supervisor site checklist.
- Support daily readiness with morning load-outs and afternoon unloads. Confirm crews have the right tools and equipment.
- Maintain warehouse readiness and inventory accuracy, including housekeeping, organization, and stock counts.
- Support onboarding and training for new team members on job-site standards, warehouse flow, and expectations.
- Coordinate lifts as needed, including booking, moves, and call-offs.
- Support removals during the removal season, with somedays at the warehouse (January–March).
- Install and maintain lights as needed, particularly in the off-season (March–July).
- Support outside sales when capacity allows (door knocking and related support).
- Complete GS&R reviews with leads bi-weekly, when appropriate.
What we are looking for
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the confidence to enforce standards.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Strong English proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Clear, calm communication with crews and leadership.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work hands-on in a physical environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites and the warehouse.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Nice to have
- Coaching or people leadership experience.
- Boom Lift and forklift experience.
- High emotional intelligence and a steady, positive presence.
Compensation
The compensation range is $65,000 to $70,000 CAD base plus a performance bonus, depending on experience and scope. We also offer RRSP matching and a health plan.
Work environment
This role is split between job sites and the warehouse, with frequent walking, lifting, driving, and hands-on support.
