The Radiology Workflow Coordinator plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Health.
The Imaging Services team consists of X-ray, CT, MRI, General Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology. As a member of the Union Health Imaging team, you will play an integral role by assuring that services are provided within professional standards and organizational policies to assist patients who lean on the Imaging Services team for answers.

Radiology Workflow Coordinator
Schedule:
- M-F 7a-330
- No holidays
- No weekends
Essential Job Duties:
- Adheres to established protocols, ordering guides, and standards for radiology examinations.
- Demonstrates understanding of medical terminology in communication and documentation.
- Maintains patient privacy by following ID policy and confidentiality protocols.
- Cleans equipment and work areas as per department expectations for infection control.
- Communicates effectively with team members to address workflow interruptions.
- Collaborates with Centralized Scheduling for appointment coordination and changes.
- Accurately enters orders into the HIS/RIS system for x-ray exams.
- Coordinates workflow between departments for efficient patient care.
- Processes and shares CD images and electronic image transfers promptly as requested.
- Follows release of information policy to provide patients or facilities with imaging results and CD images.
- Processes images from outside facilities, both electronic and CD versions, efficiently.
- Assists technologists in holding patients for exams as necessary.
- Understands and utilizes outpatient scheduling procedures effectively.
- Maintains attendance standards, including punctuality and proper notification for absences.
- Flexible to changes in work schedule to meet patient and department needs.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate
- Radiology knowledge preferred
- BLS required
