Social Media Manager — RIP-IT & Tachikara
$65-$80K / Year + Creator · Benefits Orlando, FL · In-Office · Full-Time · Some Travel, Evenings & Weekends
What we're building
RIP-IT is a challenger brand built from the ground up for the female athlete — in softball and volleyball. Most gear in our categories started with men's equipment and scaled it down. We started with her. We think that difference matters, and we're betting the company on it.
Tachikara is the volleyball authority, trusted by coaches and programs at every level.
Over the next 24 months, we're launching a new shoe, opening a TikTok Shop, and scaling our ambassador program to 750+ athletes. We need someone who can own the story we tell on social — with real creative authority, and a team around them who wants their best work to ship.
The role
You'll own social strategy and execution across both brands — TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Snapchat. Two voices, three audiences (teen athletes, parents, coaches). The scoreboard is branded reach, purchase-intent DMs, and sell-through across channels — not follower count, not likes.
You'll work closely with our CMO, creative team, and founders. We're small, and we move fast: big decisions get made in the same room, often the same day. You'll have meaningful creative ownership and a short path to "yes".
What you'll own
Content & brand voice. Calendar, creative direction, and daily execution across five platforms.
Video production. Media Day direction, long-form series, turning tournament weekends into weeks of content.
Community & ambassadors. Run our One Step Faster™ ambassador program on Roster. Tier structure, engagement cadence, sampling strategy. Scaling the program to 750+ members.
TikTok Shop & creator pipeline. Sampling, onboarding, performance tracking, and scaling.
AI workflow. Architect your own stack. Eliminate first, automate second.
Analytics. Weekly reporting on the metrics that actually move the business.
What we give you
Content creation budget to deploy
Latest iPhone Pro Max (for yours to keep), MacBook Pro, in-house studio
Full AI stack funded — Claude Max, CapCut Pro, Descript, Runway, ElevenLabs, Midjourney - whatever moves the needle. If a tool is 10x better, you get it
Creator kit budget (gimbal, mic, lighting, etc.)
Travel to the moments that matter — example Women's College World Series, Major League Volleyball finals, Triple Crown tournaments. If she's there, you're there.
Gear from both brands
A seat close to leadership — you'll see how a challenger brand actually runs, every day, in real time
About AI
AI does not make the content here. You do. The hook, the shot list, the edit, the relationship with the athlete on camera — those are yours. AI is the team you'd otherwise need: the assistant editor at 2am, the transcriber before you wake up, the analyst pulling your top hooks from the last 90 days.
Who this is for
You've been creating for a real audience — in-house, agency, creator shop, or your own channels. You have the receipts. You're fluent in TikTok as both a user and strategist. You can shoot and edit phone-first. You use AI daily, on purpose, in your actual work. You don't wait for permission to make good things, and you disagree productively when it matters.
Required
2+ years creating or managing social content that someone relied on
Experience with a community, ambassador program, or creator network
Short-form video shooting and editing (smartphone is fine)
Active, daily AI use in professional marketing work
Genuine interest in women's sports and the youth sports world
Bonus
Played the sport
Grew an audience past 100K
Hands-on with Roster, TikTok Shop, Klaviyo, or Shopify
Professional video/photo skills (DSLR, advanced editing)
Why in-office
The compounding happens in the room. Product lands, decisions get made, collaborations get pitched — and you're there for all of it. You'll also be at tournaments, on fields, and at events.
Recharging
The hours aren't 9-to-5 — tournament weekends, late-night edits, and DMs at athlete-friendly hours come with the role. Extra PTO/ comp days is how we balance it out over the year.
How to apply

Links to your social presence — the content is the resume
Your AI stack — where it multiplies you, and where you refuse to let it touch the work
One short-form video you shot and edited. Best one, not all of them. Phone footage is fine.
