TheCompliance Officer will overseethecompliance programfor Life Insurance Trust Company (LITCO), manage AML/BSAfunctions,assistwith audits and regulatoryexamsandassistwithmaintainingallLITCOcorporate governance responsibilities. The Compliance Officer will alsomanage the Company Trust Committee and oversee all aspects ofidentifyingand mitigating fiduciary risk.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- OverseeBank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML)program
- Evaluate existing policies and procedures related to fiduciary risk, recommend enhancements, and develop actionable processes to proactivelyidentify, assess, and mitigate risk exposure
- Assign and periodically review risk ratings for new and existing trust accounts, ensuringappropriate duediligence and ongoing monitoring
- Assist the President and Board of Directors in preparing for and conducting quarterly board meetings, including compiling materials, reports, and compliance updates
- Prepare andsubmitaccurateandtimelyquarterly and annual reports to regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with reporting standards
- Assistwith internal and external audits and regulatory exams
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Location and Physical Requirements:
- Full-time, in-office positionlocatedin Sioux Falls, SD, with limited opportunity for remote work
- Ability to work outside standard business hours on occasion, as business needs require
- Occasional travel, less than 10% of the time
- Prolonged periods of sitting/standingat a desk and working on a computer
Required Skills,Education,and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degreeor equivalent/Juris Doctor preferred
- 3+ years’relevant compliance, regulatory, or fiduciary experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- CFIRSand/orCTFAdesignation(Preferred)
The base pay range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000 with a 10% target bonus. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
