Thomas More University, located in Crestview Hills, KY, in the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, is a small, private liberal arts university offering undergraduate and graduate programs. The university is student-oriented and all members of the community must commit to advancing the University’s Catholic mission and values.
The Department of Biological Sciences invites applicants to apply for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2026-27 academic year (beginning August 2026). A Ph.D. from a regionally accredited university is required. The position requires training in the field(s) of cellular and molecular biology, including the expertise to teach upper-level undergraduate courses for Biology majors (Biochemistry and Immunology) and Nursing majors (Medical Microbiology). A subsequent search to fill this position with a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the 2027–28 academic year is being planned.
Successful candidates must provide evidence of quality teaching experience. Beyond their teaching courseload, the successful applicant may choose to become involved in the departmental and university communities in other ways (e.g., student club opportunities, research), but that is not a requirement of the position. As a vibrant contributor to the university, the Department of Biological Sciences includes approximately 130 undergraduate students majoring within the department and also the internationally recognized Ohio River Biology Field Station; for further information about Thomas More University, please visit our web site at: www.thomasmore.edu.
Interested applicants should upload (1) a cover letter, (2) a CV, (3) a teaching philosophy statement, (4) a research statement that describes potential undergraduate-level opportunities, and (5) a list of three references. All applications received by April 27, 2026, will receive full consideration. Interviews will begin as soon as qualified candidates are identified.
