Job Title: Cook
Location: Cerro Gordo, NC
Pay Rate: $10–$14 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cook to join our team in Cerro Gordo, NC. This position requires someone who is flexible, team-oriented, and willing to assist in multiple areas of the business as needed. The ideal candidate will have cooking experience and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary) One day off during the week
- Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (required)
- Must be flexible to come in early or stay later as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to company standards
- Assist with food prep and kitchen organization
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and work areas in compliance with health department regulations
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and sanitizing surfaces
- Help in other areas of the business when needed, including the meat market
- Answer phones and provide customer service as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Willingness to be flexible and take on multiple responsibilities
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety guidelines
- Good communication and customer service skills
Additional Requirements:
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- Team player with a positive attitude
