Job Description
Inked Brands is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant at our Bowling Green, KY office! The candidate willbe responsible forsupporting accounting functions across multiple entities,assistingwith financial reporting, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, leading month-end close procedures, and ensuring compliance withgenerally acceptedaccounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. This position requires a proactive, analytical, and energetic mindset in addition topossessingstrong communicationskills and the ability to bedetail-oriented.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform accounting functions to support multiple entities; prepare journal entries and account reconciliations; lead month-end close process; research, track, and resolve accounting issues.
- Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported resultscomply withgenerally acceptedaccounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data to support thetimelyreporting of key financial information as required by supervisors.
- Understand and execute internal controls related to accountabilities; proactively seek opportunities to strengthen internal controls.
- Assistwith the development of accounting procedures and recommend changes to improve processes.
- Lead yearly income tax process; lead contact with CPA firm.
- Have the ability to direct concerns and/or errors to the appropriate department(s) within the company.
- Regularly impress customers withan outstandingexperience, service, product, and environment while achieving company goals.
- Contribute to and support a positive, creative, and collaborative culture.
- Continuously improve efficiency, communication, and work product.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Associate’sorBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, ora relatedfield.
- 2+ years of accounting experience required; multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiencywith Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Financial systems and bookkeeping software experiencerequired(NetSuite preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Exceptional mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational Skills– Demonstrates strong organization, prioritizing and managing conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
