Respiratory Therapist
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Therapist level II provides a full range of respiratory care services to patients of the University Health System. Provides care to age group eighteen years and over as evidenced by the skill/competency check-offs. Ensures the prompt and proficient provision of respiratory care related duties in accordance with physician directives. Complies with departmental and University Health System's policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with a current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care and active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the Texas Medical Board required. Two years or more experience in general and advanced Respiratory Care. Must be BLS certified and ACLS certified.
