Psychological Associate (Assessment-Based Team)
Wellity Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Psychological Associate to join our Assessment-Based Team. This role is designed for a professional looking to complete their supervised hours toward licensure while providing critical diagnostic clarity for a diverse population.
As a Psychological Associate, you will work under the supervision of a PsyD to conduct comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about serving underserved populations and have experience navigating high-trauma cases.
Primary Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct psychological and neuropsychological assessments for diagnoses including Autism, ADHD, and intellectual impairments across adult, child, and adolescent populations.
- Testing & Administration: Administer and score standardized assessment batteries, including WAIS, WISC, KABC, IVA-2, and ADOS-2.
- Report Writing & Feedback: Write detailed psychological reports and conduct feedback sessions with clients to provide extensive clinical recommendations.
- Caseload Management: Schedule follow-up appointments, manage referrals to external specialists, and maintain timely documentation within our EMR system.
- Crisis Intervention: Conduct crisis assessments and interventions, collaborating with internal clinical teams as needed.
- Professional Development: Attend weekly supervision (10% of time worked) and participate in all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Completion of a PhD, PsyD, or EdD in Clinical, Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program by the start date.
- Internship: Completion of (or currently completing) a doctoral internship at an APA-accredited or APPIC-member program
- Credentialing: Must be eligible to apply for registration as a Psychological Associate with the state board by the start date.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience administering, scoring, and writing reports for psychological testing batteries.
- Compliance: Knowledge of evidence-based practices and strict adherence to HIPAA and mandated reporting requirements.
- Logistics: Ability to lift and carry testing kits (30–40 lbs) and possess reliable transportation to travel between Bay Area office locations.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual Services: Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Specialized Testing: Prior experience with administering standardized assessments is a plus.
- Clinical Focus: Experience gathering collateral information through parent or family interviews and working with clients with extensive trauma histories will be beneficial in this role.
Position Details
- Work Model: Hybrid. Approximately 60% in-person service delivery is required at our Bay Area offices to facilitate standardized testing.
- Work Schedule: The primary clinical schedule will be Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. As this is an Exempt position, some flexibility in hours may be required.
- Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt
- Target Start Date: On or before September 1, 2026.
- Compensation: The anticipated salary range is $73,000 – $78,000. Salary is determined by multiple factors including prior experience. Wellity Health pays a higher rate for bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates.
