BL101 began as an Instagram account started by a baseball obsessed teenager on his couch that started a community and has grown into something bigger than he ever could’ve imagined.
Today, Baseball Lifestyle has over 200 employees, retail locations in malls, tournament complexes, and can be found in various sporting goods stores around the country, such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Scheels, and Academy. The community built at BL101 has grown with the company’s success and the mission to grow the love of baseball stands true every day.
The journey at Baseball Lifestyle has brought our brand around the country to some of the biggest venues has to offer, and we will continue to spread our love of baseball and our brand to not just baseball fans, but everyone that is looking for the best off-field apparel the industry has to offer.
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Inventory Control Associate is an entry-level role responsible for supporting day-to-day inventory operations within our e-commerce distribution network.Reporting to the Inventory Control Coordinator, this position focuses primarily on cycle counting and hands-on warehouse support, including receiving, put-away, picking, and returns. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced physical environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for the following:
- Perform regular cycle counts throughout the warehouse to verify inventory accuracy and report discrepancies to the Inventory Control Coordinator.
- Execute full physical inventory counts as directed, assisting in the investigation and resolution of variances.
- Support warehouse teams with receiving, put-away, picking, and returns processes to ensure proper inventory handling.
- Accurately record inventory movements and adjustments in the company’s inventory management system.
- Assist in identifying damaged, mislabeled, or misplaced products and escalate issues appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to support inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Follow established procedures for product labeling, SKU management, and quality checks.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies and status updates to the Inventory Control Coordinator in a timely manner.
- Support the Inventory Control Coordinator with data entry and reporting tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety and compliance standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems or WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Shopify Plus, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
