About the Job
Rehab at Your Place is looking to hire highly qualified individuals to join our team. We are hiring Developmental Therapists (Early Interventionists) to provide home/community-based early intervention services for families with children who have been diagnosed with a developmental delay or disorder that are aged birth-5. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable with early childhood developmental milestones, is full of integrity, loves children, is able to coach families to support their child’s development, has experience with children with special needs, has a degree in early childhood, and has great organizational and time-management skills. In addition, the ideal candidate will provide developmental therapy/early intervention services to some of the following zip codes and/or surrounding areas: 38118, 38115, 38114, 38141, 38107.
Responsibilities
- To coach families to assist their child’s development using a family-guided routines-based intervention coaching model (see FGRBI.com).
- Provide support, services, and resources to families in their most natural environment (i.e., the home or in the community (virtually as needed/permitted).
- Consult and collaborate with additional service providers and coordinators on the family’s team to support the overall IFSP (Individual Family Service Plan) goals for the child.
- Assess the child's progress toward goals.
- Attend required meetings, staff trainings, agency events, and additional trainings and conferences as needed.
- Collect data, write session notes, and upload them to applicable agency and state-wide databases timely.
- Schedule required sessions and maintain contact logs.
- Submit all documentation timely and accurately.
Qualifications
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, in early childhood education, early childhood special education, special education K-12, child development, child & family studies, early intervention, deaf education or visual disabilities, elementary education, communication disorders, or speech-language pathology.
- Knowledge of early childhood development. (birth-5 years).
- Experience working with children, birth to 5-year-old, that have developmental delays.
- Valid and current U.S. driver’s license and car insurance.
- Licensed and insured to drive with dependable transportation.
- Background check clearance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of adult learning principles.
- Self-motivated.
- A love for children and their families.
- Effective organizational, oral, and written skills.
