ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Specialty Line of Business Portfolio Manager will bring the product vision to life for our specialty lines of business and owns the full lifecycle of our specialty insurance products This individual directs the business development and performance for Dwelling Landlord and Flood to ensure they thrive and that results are consistent with the business model, enterprise objectives and financial goals of the company. This leader must be enthusiastic, creative, resourceful and a collaborative manager who drives the product’s agenda by advancing its definition, evolving product performance and response to customer expectations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
·Manage the P&L for Dwelling Landlord, Flood, Inland Marine, and other specialty products as needed.
·Conduct market research and data analysis to identify, quantify, and prioritize new product opportunities.
·Define and optimize the desired market position and product roadmap.
·Design and build new product structures, features, coverages, and policy forms.
·Lead the development and ongoing refinement of market appetite, eligibility rules, underwriting logic, rating plans, and processing guidelines.
·Develop, launch, and continuously evolve products to deliver strong business results and our target value proposition.
·Identify and build strategic partnerships to enhance data capabilities, automation, distribution, and customer experience.
·Oversee business and system requirements to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant quoting, issuance, maintenance, and servicing of products.
·Drive continuous improvement in product performance, analytics, operating efficiency, and service quality.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional certifications.
·Minimum of 7 years of experience developing and managing P&C insurance products.
·Strong business ownership mindset with the ability to influence across the organization and drive results.
·Deep knowledge of insurance market trends and a passion for product innovation.
·Proven ability to analyze complex data, solve problems, and be hands-on with tools and analytics.
·Experience with state compliance, product filing, and managing product repositories.
·Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
·Strong decision-making, judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
·Creative, flexible, and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-changing environment.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
·High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preference is for full-time onsite work in either Melbourne, FL or Irving, TX; however, we will consider a remote option for the right candidate who does not live within reasonable travel distance to any of our office locations. A remote employee will be required to travel to our Melbourne, FL office one week per month.

The office environment is fast-paced and collaborative.An employee must be willing and able to work their regularly assigned work schedule onsite, and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company or departmental needs, project requirements, or customer demands.
While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading; being able to lift light objects (<25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
