We are excited to announce an opening for a Learning and Development Specialist. As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will work collaboratively with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth and successful onboarding and training experience for all IMA Medical Group new hires within the Clinical Operations department. This position is responsible for creating, developing, implementing, and conducting training and development programs with the goal of improving employee retention, engagement, and operational efficiency. This position is the primary resource for coordinating and facilitating new employee training as well as providing technical and administrative support to the company’s learning and professional development program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and facilitates both classroom and clinic onsite training for new hires and current employees.
- Manages the training calendar, email, and Training & Development Channel to ensure that scheduling is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicates with the HR team to identify new hire training needs and develop a comprehensive training agenda prior to the first day of onboarding.
- Prepares for all aspects of training including scheduling, space preparation, material preparation, and evaluation administration.
- Works to keep training programs vibrant and hands-on in order to ensure uptake and comprehension of all skills and concepts.
- In collaboration with VP of Operational Efficiency, HR, and Supervisors, proposes training and development solutions that will enhance employee performance and productivity.
- Creates and implements continuing education strategies to ensure that employees are performing job duties according to company policies and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development within the healthcare industry.
- Improves and maintains Onboarding Simulation Clinic with outlines that embody the three learning styles: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic to facilitate training for new employees more efficiently.
- Coordinates with New Employees to promote employee retention and address any disconnection between clinic workflows and onboarding training with the creation of checklists, tracking, and performance evaluations.
- Facilitates educational sessions and guidance to all IMA employees on new workflows implemented by management including 3rd Party Vendors and Providers.
- Provide new hire training to 3rd Party Vendors on eCW navigation and partnership workflow.
- Manages the Training Ticketing System for training requests and/or content creation including videos, modules, and others as requested.
- Creates weekly videos for training tips for staff members.
- Create, design, and improve current and new training content.
- Maintain content and project organization under the IMA Training Team SharePoint.
- In collaboration with Office Managers completes Inefficiency Checklist and creates training support plans to address inefficiencies across all IMA clinics.
- Manages the Intranet Training Webpage to ensure up-to-date training is available to all IMA staff members.
- Oversees the Clinical Operations training aspect of Healthcare Compliance Pros to create, modify, and implement training assignments and ensure new hires complete compliance training.
- Maintain Role Based Security Logs and Access
- Oversees the BVL Training Center Equipment/Office Supplies Inventory and places re-stocking orders.
- Oversees New Employee communications, welcome emails, and virtual training invites.
- Oversees access to UBER/LYFT Portals.
- Oversees onboarding training content impression and delivery.
- Oversees Onboarding Training Trivia and prizes.
- Completes new employee Mid-Performance Reviews.
- Responsible for communication regarding issues, during training and employee feedback with VP of Operational Efficiency and HR.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
