Job Summary
- Seeking an Intrusion Analyst responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving new and variant malicious cyber activity through advanced network analysis techniques
- This role emphasizes deep packet and protocol inspection, reverse engineering, and deobfuscation of network data to uncover sophisticated threats
- The analyst leverages mission platforms and large-scale datasets to detect emerging adversary tactics and support both defensive and offensive cyber operations
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform deep packet and protocol inspection to identify anomalous and malicious network activity
- Analyze and reverse engineer network data, including de-obfuscation of encoded or encrypted traffic patterns
- Identify and investigate new and variant cyber threats, including previously unknown attack techniques
- Utilize advanced analytic platforms, including GENESIS and XKEYSCORE (XKS), to query and analyze large-scale datasets
- Develop and execute complex queries using front-end (FP) and metadata processing (MP) schemas, including schema development and optimization
- Correlate data across multiple sources to support threat detection, attribution, and mitigation
- Support both defensive and offensive cyber operations, contributing to detection, response, and exploitation efforts
- Develop and refine analytic methodologies to improve detection of evolving threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts, engineers, and operators, to support mission objectives
- Document analytic findings, techniques, and recommendations for operational use
Required Qualifications
- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)
- Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position
- Strong experience with network protocols, packet analysis, and traffic inspection
- Demonstrated ability to perform reverse engineering and de-obfuscation of network data
- Experience with GENESIS and XKEYSCORE (XKS) platforms
- Proficiency with FP/MP schemas and schema development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex, high-tempo environments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting both offensive and defensive cyber operations
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:130,000 - 175,000 USD per year(Ft. Meade MD)
