Manning Park Resort is seeking a full time Accounting Administrator with a strong business and financial acumen to live and work on site at MPR. This person will report directly to MPR's Accounting Manager and will take full responsibility for the Company's general ledger. They will maintain the integrity of general accounts to provide accurate, timely, and relevant reporting of financial information.
Key Responsibilities* Perform daily reconciliation of resort POS systems and payment platforms to ensure accuracy of all transactions* Ensure all revenue streams are properly recorded, balanced, and aligned with financial records* Conduct General Ledger (GL) reconciliations using QuickBooks* Prepare and post journal entries and assist the Accounting Manager with month-end closing activities* Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and follow-ups on outstanding balances* Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, coding, and timely payments* Perform bank, cash reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies as needed* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and tip reports* Maintain an accurate chart of accounts and ensure integrity of financial data across systems* Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Requirements* Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience (hospitality experience preferred)* Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online* Hands-on experience with hotel POS systems (e.g., Silverware, Clover, Paradox)* Solid understanding of General Ledger (GL) reconciliation* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and data analysis)* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
