Senior Journeyman Electrician (Commercial)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrician with a valid Journeyman Electrician license and strong experience in commercial electrical systems. This role is responsible for leading installations, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with leadership capabilities who can mentor junior electricians and coordinate effectively on job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial environments (office buildings, retail centers, schools, healthcare facilities, etc.)
- Lead and oversee electrical projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within scope
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical issues, implementing effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on job sites
- Supervise, train, and mentor apprentice and junior electricians
- Perform panel upgrades, conduit bending, wiring, lighting installation, and system upgrades
- Conduct inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and project progress
- Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of workplace safety
$35 - $55 an hour
Compensation details: 35-55 Hourly Wage
